PROJECT DETAILS
The Arts Building, located in London, is an old building that was originally used to develop industrial art projects. The company U+I hired Gibson Thornley to convert the space into a new flexible and versatile office that could be used for different purposes.
With a view to successfully developing this project, the building’s structure was modified, adding large windows on the ceiling to obtain as much natural light as possible. In addition, a track lighting system and additional ceiling lights were installed, allowing a flexible solution to be created in spaces that needed to be transformed from a traditional office into an exhibition room. LEDS C4 lighting solutions, combined with a Casambi connectivity system, provided the adaptability the project required, maximising efficiency by controlling artificial lighting depending on the natural light available and creating ambiences that evolve with how they are used and the space.
