UOB Robot Tower Located in Bangkok’s Sathorn CBD, the UOB Robot Building is an iconic 20-storey structure designed by renowned Thai architect Sumet Jumsai in 1986. Originally built as the headquarters of the Bank of Asia, the design was inspired by a toy robot and symbolized the growing role of technology in banking. With its quirky eyes, antennae, and mechanical aesthetic, the building stood out as a postmodern rejection of traditional and high-tech styles—earning recognition as one of the 50 seminal 20th-century structures by the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. The Robot Building has recently undergone a major renovation led by UOB Thailand. The goal was to create a more energy-efficient and sustainable workspace, targeting a 15% reduction in electricity usage and aligning with modern green building standards. The external façade of UOB Robot Building has been given a modern, eye-catching upgrade with the installation of over 4,000 meters of the Traxon Archishape G1 RGBW that were customized with frosted glass cove. Hi Skin Houston
Most of the time, we think of light as accenting and enhancing existing structures. But what if light was made to be a structure? This was the unique opportunity that Hi Skin, a facial skin care boutique salon, presented to Lightform Lighting's designers Chad Rothe and Abbie Bruch. One of the work stations at the salon performed higher end treatments, and there needed to be a way to identify that. Rothe explains, "I thought a really good way to showcase the higher end treatments was some type of a barrier or room divider. And what better way to do it than with lights! I chose PureEdge Lazer Line Lens to do it like this, to create visual interest, purely aesthetic. We had them make a drywall oculus since we were going to need some kind of footer to accept the turnbuckles. I just think it’s really dramatic to see that vertical repetition, and it’s a really cool identification visually". Lazer Line Lens is a Direct and/or Indirect LED Lighting System that provides general illumination for architectural applications. Slim Turnbuckles and anchors can be mounted wall to wall or ceiling to floor or ceiling to wall. Turnbuckles allow Lazer Line Lens to be positioned 0-90° relative to the mounting surface, creating a 3-dimensional look that is as functional as it is visually interesting. Feed power from one or both ends for longer lengths. Mounts to standard 4" square junction box with round plaster ring. Paint canopy to blend into the surface for a seamless look. Lazer Line Lens is a 0.6" wide stainless steel channel that spans opposing surfaces. The field-cuttable channel allows continual lengths up to 60' with power feeds at each end. For the other stations, each one had a large, overhead oculus featuring TruCirque™ as the centerpiece at 3000 Kelvin, with the entire oculus being uplit in order to create a soft but stunning way for Hi Skin employees to clearly see their client's skin. As the pioneer of 5/8" drywall systems, TruCirque™ brings the same ease of installation to a pristine circle of illumination. Redefining the relationship between lighting and interior design, the innovative and highly efficient system blends seamlessly into the drywall, becoming part of the architecture. Simply specify the diameter of the circle that you'd like to create. The flex channel that is supplied can be field adjusted if need be. Lens and LED strips are field cuttable. RGBTW TruCirque™ is supplied with a Pure Smart/WiZ Pro CV Bridgebox in the Power Feed. 4 gang junction box is used to house the CV Bridgebox. Rothe concludes, "I personally think as a lighting designer, that PureEdge offers the most innovative, creative lighting solutions out there. Greg Kay is just a total outside the box thinker when it comes to really, really visually stunning products. The whole team is great to work with". PRODUCT NEWS & INSPIRATION

Tulip
Available with three diffusers, multiple colors and mounting options. Eureka®, an established leader in decorative lighting solutions, has announced the release of its Tulip luminaires. The family features a range of fixtures that include chandeliers, pendants and surface mount units. The heart of the Tulip family is a bouquet-inspired arrangement that offers a contemporary take on a classic chandelier. The luminaire is constructed of aluminum tubes and acrylic diffusers. They are stem-mounted, available in 18”, 34”, and 48” diameters. The 18” and 48” luminaires may be combined to create a two-tier signature chandelier. There are three diffuser options, all inspired by the stages of a blooming tulip. Bulb is a discreet, recessed lens. Bud is a frosted diffuser that offers the broadest diffusion. And Blossom is a frosted diffuser with an elegant glow. Tulip adds a touch of drama and elegance to modern spaces such as lobbies, waiting areas, or restaurants. Its unique aesthetic can be carried further through a space with wall sconces and straight cable or surface mount pendants in 12” and 22”.
