Man seeks out symbol for a way to describe, through a single object, the context surrounding him. Totem has been designed to this end, namely to enable the nocturnal perception of the reality in which it falls, without invading it with extraneous aesthetics. Its essential design, the balance of the elements comprising it, make it a rigorous, sober product, a valid tool for the technical and expressive needs of the urban designer.
