The colored FPX series luminaires are purpose built not only to withstand the harsh environment of food processing and agriculture, but also to psychologically effect the bird’s behavior. By using red (660 nm) or blue (470 nm) LEDs to simulate the natural progression of the sun’s color spectrum over the course of the day, farmers can enhance the animal’s well being, increase production and also induce calming effects during the processing stage through the use of specific color wavelengths. With a low profile at less than 2.5″, the seamless extruded housing of the FPX is NSF and IP69K rated, making it impenetrable during wash down.
