Fluxwerx Introduces Splice, a New Suspended Linear Luminaire
Continuing to build on the history of innovation and a forward looking approach to creating transformative luminaires, today Fluxwerx Illumination introduces a new suspended linear luminaire that challenges the conventional expression of linear lighting.
Defined by two slender, canted elements and an open void that runs the length of the luminaire, Splice creates a distinctive architectural presence while maintaining a remarkably light visual footprint, delivering lighting uniformity and energy efficiency across a variety of spaces and applications.
'Splice brings together three of our core disciplines: optical innovation, purposeful design and visual experience. The result is a family of suspended luminaires that offer greater flexibility with considered simplicity, delivering broad, comfortable illumination from an intentionally minimal structure. Splice embodies our approach at Fluxwerx: start with what matters, refine what is possible, and deliver lighting that becomes part of the architectural experience.' - Adrian Howitt, VP + General Manager, Fluxwerx
With a form only 3.3" in height, Splice offers exceptional performance for general ambient illumination applications. The luminaire's Anidolic-Extraction Optics™ technology provides three high performance, precisely controlled distributions of direct 100, indirect/direct 25 Up | 75 Dn and 50 Up | 50 Dn with no view of the source, delivering exceptional visual comfort and wide on-centre spacing of up to 12ft on centre, 40 fc at 0.4 W/ft2.
Splice extends the design DNA established across the Fluxwerx product portfolio, where optical innovation and architectural intent are developed as one. Its suspended configuration supports wide row spacing while maintaining uniform illumination, allowing designers to achieve required light levels with fewer luminaires and less material. With no electrical connections at fixture joints required, Splice can be installed as an independent pendant or as a continuous lighting system with virtually seamless runs.
Available in multiple configurations, including options for direct and indirect illumination plus four distinct endcaps and finish options, Splice is designed to adapt to different spatial and architectural requirements while maintaining its defining visual language.
