AMAZINGA INDOOR ACTIVITY CENTRE

Great fun, no glare.
Climb up high, bounce for joy and land softly at the Amazinga indoor activity centre in Zagreb – and have lots of fun in the process. The country's "largest family entertainment centre", in a venue of over 11,000 square metres in the heart of the Croatian capital, offers twelve different attractions that are sure to give younger visitors butterflies in their stomach and get their hearts pounding – and might even inspire the grown-ups to join in the fun too. Zumtobel has created a glare-free, energy-efficient lighting solution for the venue's various functional and activity spaces.
The Amazinga indoor activity centre was completed in 2020 and is a new development within the existing building that is dedicated entirely to fun for the whole family. Visitors young and old can improve their balance, hone their agility skills and build self-confidence at twelve different indoor activity stations. From a trampoline park, go-kart track and climbing wall to a virtual reality adventure – there's something for everyone at Amazinga. Zumtobel's lighting experts were tasked by Amazinga with ensuring visitors are guided safely through the indoor activity centre and with providing excellent lighting quality with minimum glare.
One continuous-row lighting system, many functions.
At the heart of this tailor-made Zumtobel lighting solution is the TECTON continuous-row lighting system. Featuring black TECTON Cluminaires, it guides users through the different activity areas with clear geometric lines.

The solution offers impressive luminous efficacy of 164 lm/W, while TECTON not only provides a permanent framework for general lighting it also accommodates emergency escape lighting and lighting management.
The right lighting keeps everyone safe.
RESCLITE safety luminaires and CROSSIGN escape-sign luminaires have also been included in the lighting concept for Amazinga. Both can be easily mounted on the TECTON trunking in just a few steps. RESCLITE provides efficient anti-panic, escape-route and object lighting for the activity areas, lobbies, event rooms and restrooms. The CROSSIGN escape-sign luminaire is characterised by a discreet design and reliably indicates exits in the activity areas, lobby and restrooms.

What's more, the LITECOM lighting management system has also been integrated into the TECTON, making it possible to monitor the functionality of every installed luminaire, safety luminaire and escape-sign luminaire at all times, and ensuring a complete overview of the whole venue, from the activity areas to the lobby, all at the touch of a button.
Flexible lighting for changing environments.
Another advantage of the TECTON continuous-row lighting system is that even if the activity areas are changed or fitted with new equipment or attractions, there is no need to install new lighting. In fact, all TECTON luminaires can be easily and quickly adapted to changing conditions. Any module can be positioned and aligned where required, as power can be tapped into wherever needed along the entire length of the TECTON track. Installation requires no tools and can be completed in record time.
Avoiding glare by reflection is child's play!
When selecting the right lighting solution for Amazinga, accurate glare control played a particularly important role. Glare by reflection needed to be minimised to ensure that all activity stations could be used in comfort. The unique split-lens technology of the TECTON Cluminaire is ideally suited for this purpose. It distributes targeted light from the centre to the lateral edges. The luminaire therefore appears much less dazzling, the light emission surface more homogeneous.
Splash water protection in side rooms.
In addition to the actual activity rooms, Zumtobel also fitted the side rooms with luminaires from its sister brand Thorn. The restrooms were equipped with Equaline, a flexible, modular system that delivers excellent lighting results without compromising the rooms architecture, as well as with the high-performance Chalice downlights. Thanks to an IP54 rating, these are protected against excessive levels of dust as well as against splash water.
Smart functionality meets maximum safety.
In a venue visited by families and children, the right lighting solution creates the perfect conditions for an enjoyable leisure experience.
