PROJECT DETAILS
Leeds Beckett University has completed the new state-of-the-art Carnegie School of Sport building.
The £45m Carnegie School of Sport unites all teaching and research for undergraduate, postgraduate and research sports programs as well as providing a hub for elite athletes who use the university’s athletics performance expertise. The building houses highly specialist teaching and research laboratories, including an environmental chamber that can mimic different altitudes and locations. The main feature of the Carnegie building is the impressive 60 meter long covered rooftop track. By cleverly using continuous lines of uninterrupted uniform lighting as lane identifiers, Infinitas by Hacel is used to striking effect. The whole Carnegie School of Sport building has been equipped with the range of superior quality, excellent performance, architectural luminaires - all designed and manufactured in the UK.
