PROJECT DETAILS
Empoli is a graceful little town in the Val d’Elsa on the border between the Provinces of Florence and Pisa. The heart of the city is Piazza Farinata degli Uberti, called Piazza dei Leoni [Lions] after the great stone beasts that adorn the central fountain. The piazza is dominated by the Collegiata di S. Andrea, decorated in twin-chrome white and green marble, in the Romanic-Florentine style that would inspire, only a few years later, the Chiesa di San Miniato al Monte in Florence.
Spreading outwards from the piazza are the narrow streets of the old town centre, which have been illuminated in recent months with Light 803 and 4215 brackets. The new LED lighting creates a pleasant atmosphere, enhancing the environment and the buildings, as well as conferring security.
