PROJECT DETAILS
Ernst & Young (EY) is a global leader in professional services of audit and accounting organization, taxation, transaction and consultancy. At the newly renovated offices of EY in Milan, Italy, green architecture embraces a corporate culture of effective leadership and collaboration. The nine-story building occupies 270,000 square feet, accommodating over 2,500 employees, 1,200 desks and more than 170 meeting and conference rooms, supplemented by a large panoramic terrace that offers 360° views over the historic city center of Milan.
With a focus on innovative technology and an ultra-modern design, Italian-based designers of DEGW bring a revolutionary new approach to the workplace at EY in Milan. Efficiency, flexibility and environmental sustainability are at the forefront of the complex, and areas are optimized with a careful design approach that supports the specific business activities of EY. Different environments meet the needs of the company, including modular meeting rooms, collaborative open areas and individual work zones, alongside informal communal spaces, such as hubs and cafes.
Lighting fully supports the activity-based model of design at EY in Milan, while maintaining a minimalistic, modern aesthetic. Linear ribbons of light from SLOTLIGHT LED and modern illuminated panels of MIREL LED provide excellent illumination in conference rooms. Circular pendant ONDARIA delivers comfortable, ambient lighting in small meeting rooms and informal break-out zones. The universally applicable architectural downlight PANOS illuminates hallways, lobbies and multi-functional areas.
