PROJECT DETAILS
LEDS-C4 designed, manufactured and installed the complex structural and lighting areas of the new lobby of FAIRMONT REY JUAN CARLOS I hotel; the three pergolas in the atrium, the overhead and side lighting in the bar, and the lighting in reception. In order to do this, LEDS-C4 designed and developed a large and complex aluminium extrusion profile composed of four sections, to give form to all these structures without any visible fixings, while remaining as faithful as possible to the aesthetic look that the architects and designers wanted, and ensuring good structural and construction quality at the same time. All the lighting integrated into these structures is DALI dimmable LED lighting.
Elements manufactured include approximately 1,200 linear m of the profile, 1,800 linear m of the bronze mirror that covers two of the profile's four faces, 750 decorative luminaires of octagonal-shaped glass, 300 decorative teardrop-shaped glass pendants, and 150 technical spotlights.
The commercial and technical work on the project began at the end of June last year, and manufacturing began at the end of September. The project was installed in four phases, with the first beginning on 11 January and the last completed in March.
A major effort was made by all those who participated in the project, who were many, including everyone involved in the business arrangements, the technical and production side, and logistics and installation.
LEDS-C4 continues with the renovation work on the hotel, participating in part of the lighting for the rooms.
