PROJECT DETAILS

Husie Library is located just outside of Malmö city. A colorful little meeting place filled with literature, knowledge and community. For many years now, the library has been illuminated by lovely blue Supertubes from ateljé Lyktan. When the library now wanted to review its lighting system and felt that the old technology had paid off in terms of efficiency and durability, they started looking for new solutions. The proposal from ateljé Lyktan was to make use of the fine luminaires, keep the frame but fill the interior with new lighting technology and thus upgrade the entire facility. The proposal was well received by Husie Library and a recycling project was started to give the Supertubes a second life.
