PROJECT DETAILS
Technical lighting project on interior Restyling
Magliano di Tenna, in the Marche region of Italy, is a small town that preserves all the characteristics of a medieval city.
The La Rotonda coffee shop has been in business for more than thirty years, situated not far from the historic centre. It is located in a building of significant historical importance and is therefore protected by Cultural Heritage Assets Department of the Marche region.
TASTEFUL LIGHTING
After many years of management, the owner felt the need to restyle the environment, primarily due to an expansion of the business itself. A new look, complete with calibrated lighting, conceived in collaboration with the designer and the principal in order to fully enhance the location and its peculiarities. In fact, the purpose of the technical lighting project was to channel continuity between the two spaces using light. Therefore, lighting and interior design interacted profitably to create different focuses of attention in the key points of the shop, in any case ensuring adequate levels of light for the functions and duties that need to be performed throughout the entire day.
The interior of the coffee shop and pizzeria is characterised by arches and vaults with levels at different heights. Given these critical issues, two main products were used. With the Archicove product, the lighting designers emphasised and highlighted the architectural movements of the ceiling. Placement was directed above the headers, at the base of the columns and in spaces obtained through the creation of specific casings. All to hide the sources. With the Ink system, on the other hand, positioned on the ceiling and wall, light was introduced into the key points of the shop without the need for any structural changes or tracing. Both systems were chose to be elegantly integrated without interfering with the architectural environment.
