Zumtobel supplied innovative LED lighting for Lidl's new logistics center in Czech Republic
Thousands of energy-saving LED luminaires installed in kilometres of rails, emergency lighting and a comprehensive lighting control system were delivered by Zumtobel to Lidl's new logistics centre in Buštěhrad, Kladno, which is one of the largest in Europe with 60,000 square metres of space. The solution shows that a modern industrial lighting system can be not only highly efficient, but also environmentally friendly and very economical. Centralized management system allows connection with other operational systems.
The logistics center will supply up to 90 Lidl retail stores. It was one of the largest projects implemented in Czech Republic. The requirements were high – the luminaires are efficient, ecological, and energy-saving.
More than 1,100 TECTON LED luminaires are controlled via LUXMATE system to form flexible light lines that are installed in trunking on ceiling hangers. In the logistics center TECTON luminaires are installed in nearly 7 kilometres of rails. The lighting solution also includes more than 300 high-performance CRAFT LED pendant luminaires.
In the event of an emergency and the announcement of an alarm or evacuation, more than 1,000 RESCLITE emergency luminaires, which are centrally powered via eight ONLITE eBOX central supply systems,, provide the conditions for safe exit from the workplace. This fire safety facility maintains an electronic operation book and continuously collects records of the performance of the requested emergency lighting tests.
