PROJECT DETAILS
The all-new, state-of-the-art Terminal A at Newark Liberty International Airport, located in Newark, New Jersey, recently opened after a multi-billion-dollar renovation.
The terminal now boasts the latest in technology, public art, world-renowned retailers, and over 60 concessions, as well as 33 gates and interactive children’s play areas.
Part of the Terminal A redevelopment project included the installation of new lighting throughout the space. And, due to price and value considerations, sample performance, and commitment to the project timeline, Traxon e:cue was awarded the project. As a result, 474 units of ProPoint Kontour Diffused Flat RGBW were installed, with the fixtures suspended from a third-party, custom-built Unistrut U-channel, and mounted on the ceiling grid. Additionally, all fixtures are fully controllable through remote access capabilities using e:cue Lighting Controls.
As a result of the lighting installation (energy-efficient fixtures), as well as the largest airport solar rooftop, electric buses, a cool roof, and water-efficient fixtures, Terminal A was awarded a LEED Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.

Method of Control: Sympholight
