PROJECT DETAILS
Complete lighting solution focusing on functionality and atmosphere
A factory building from 1977 has been converted into modern offices and production facilities.
The building at Fuglevangsvej in Horsens had not been altered since its construction back in 1977. The recent renovation of the building has included exposing roof structures, adding new facades with new entrances, and new surfaces throughout. The project includes a new company headquarters and production facilities.
The project's architecture is simple, rough, and industrial. The building has features like visible steel rafters, and was designed with the idea that lighting should be used to supplement and consolidate each element.
Louis Poulsen has acted as a lighting consultant from the earliest stages of this project. The result is a holistic and consistent lighting design that emphasizes the architecture and function of every space. The striplights provide excellent general lighting in the open-plan office, while AJ Floor has been placed in seating areas to create an attractive and tranquil ambiance signaling dedicated spaces for conversation or concentration.
Providing a glare-free downward light, which lands softly on the terrace, the Flindt Bollard defines the outdoor space in an appealing way. The Flindt Bollard has been placed elegantly on the terrace to create a pleasant ambiance against dark winter afternoons. In the summer, the bollard can be used to prolong evenings on the terrace with colleagues or customers.
