Origin Workspace was designed to provide office space for small companies and new start-up companies as well as to promote a working community within their buildings. Located in a refurbished building in Bristol's Berkeley Square, Origin offers four floars of flexible office space, roof terrace, cafe, bar, and basement Gym.

The offices, operated by the company Cook Corporate Solicitors, needed to be supplied with fully integrated lighting controls incorporating presence and daylight sensors. Fagerhult worked to Cook's brief and adopted the technology of e-Sense Organic, which uses sensors that come integrated within the fittings and talk to each other to create a fully functioning, flexible workspace. For the cafe and presentation areas, Fagerhult supplied a separate standalone DALI system to provide scene-setting and mood lighting. The staircase, connecting each floar, incorporates Fagerhult's e-Sense Move control system.

Throughout the project, Fagerhult worked closely with the service engineer Hydrock to come up with an inspirational, flexible, and modern lighting design, and provided nearly all the lighting and lighting controls. The result is an inspiring, contemporary workspace with a strong sense of community and wellbeing.
