PROJECT DETAILS
Penn State recently completed a renovation of its nuclear engineering facility to include a new vibrant and collaborative commons space. The innovative design incorporates elements symbolic of nuclear technology. Dark blue glass panels evoke the nature of reactor core radiation and a wood block ceiling emulates nuclear fuel, while a 124’ (38m) Cooledge flush mount SIS provides illumination in the form of a fusing beam of light to represent nuclear fusion.
