Restaurant Malo – a journey to the South Pacific
In Stuttgart's best city center location, a branch with South Pacific charm has opened. The new scene restaurant Malo invites its guests to experience an adventure into the jungle – a luxuriant world of plants combined with high quality design – staged by a harmonious lighting concept by Occhio.
»We took on the project as a great, empty hall in which it was essential to allow comfort to enter and to create islands of well-being. Multifunctional and adaptable
Occhio’s mission was to bring the jungle landscape to its creative peak with lighting. The various Occhio lui pico spotlights were measured in order to spotlight the seating groups in a representative way and to zone the room, based on the positions of the tables. The dimmable and rotatable lui pico ceiling spotlight can react with precision to a change in table position.
A vertical play of light
Occhio illuminates the walls with io verticale spotlights, creating imaginary niches that bring additional comfort to the room. The upward and downward lighting creates a subtle rhythm of the vertical surfaces, which are not planted.
Islands of well-being
Things get even more homely in the lounge area: An important contribution to the laisser-faire flair is made by the playful looking Mito sospesos, which at the same time illuminate the tables and the high caliber glass panels with the photo prints above them.
Hidden highlights
Each detail of the lighting concept has been carefully thought out. Even those corners that are not meant for the public benefit from the brilliance and exclusive quality of the Occhio lights. And you can also see Mito sferas with integrated mirrors above the washbasins.
