PROJECT DETAILS
600 SQM CREATIVE SPACES
The newly constructed office building will provide Schumann Project GmbH with an innovative and creative home from September. The new office building offers space for new, multifunctional work and creative spaces on two floors with a total of 600 sqm.
The free floor plan and the large spans of the timber construction create a light and friendly open-plan office, which can be zoned into separate areas of use by means of light curtains. This creates creative retreats as well as meeting rooms and a lounge with a kitchen in addition to the communal desks. The upper floor offers a generous exhibition and event area, which is activated by an integrated stand.
The influence of the experience gained in the various business activities of the company as a whole in furniture and interior design, contract furnishing and as a general contractor is naturally also reflected in the well thought-out overall concept of the company’s own new building. The new building was designed with thought and forethought. The free floor plan on the upper floor and the same pre-installed building technology form the basis for an expansion of the office space, and the stand on the first floor, for example, is not only a seating area but also a clever storage space.
LINEAR MEETS ROUND
The linear luminaires of the SATTLER PALADIO series correspond within the open architecture with the round SLIM luminaires and are defining elements of the lighting concept of the two storeys of the building.
The advantages of the PALADIO 35 PRISM luminaires are particularly convincing above the individual workstations. The prismatic reflector of the luminaires provides glare- and reflection-free light on the work surface, thus enabling fatigue-free, pleasant working. Eight of the slim luminaires with a length of 3370 mm extend above the office desks. Further PALADIOs with lengths of 1410, 2250 and 2810 find their place in other areas. Their simple appearance in brushed and anodised aluminium harmonises perfectly with the warm wood colours of the interior and fits unobtrusively into the rooms.
In the meeting areas, which can be zoned by means of curtains, SLIM DIRECT luminaires with a diameter of 1550 mm provide a beautiful contrast to the linear elements. In particular, the almost invisible suspension and the filigree profiling of the luminaire lend the luminaires a very special lightness. Matching these are six cylindrical FINO PENDANT luminaires, 600 mm long, in brushed aluminium, which create an inviting ambience in the kitchen area above the communal dining table with their accentuated light.
The combination of the linear PALADIO with the round SLIM pendant luminaires is also repeated on the upper floor. The use of the different luminaires alone gently divides the room into different areas. Thus, the ring luminaires hover above the stand, while the PALADIO lines span the open space of the active break or presentation room.
All luminaires can be individually controlled via the building’s bus system with DALI control and can thus be individually switched and dimmed.
