The landmarked building, built in 1939, was renamed Seattle Center Armory in 2012 after a major renovation updated its physical space and peeled back the thick Armory walls to reveal its historic roots. Evolving over the many years as a community gathering place and affordable family destination, the Armory has stood the test of time and continues to serve generations of visitors.
The Armory Food & Event Hall features fresh foods and beverages from several local merchants. The space is also home to Seattle's many community festivals, cultural celebrations and activities.
Power in a Small Form Factor
Thirty meteor Atria 10 cylinders were installed in Seattle Center Armory, and each cylinder delivers 11,750 lumens. The new lighting, combined with ample natural light, is enough to illuminate the 6,000 square foot main event space. The ample spacing between the Atria 10 fixtures really demonstrate its power - and highlights how little fixtures are needed to illuminate such a big space.
Custom Options for a Historic Project
A custom Yoke Mount bracket was specially designed for the project, in order to fit this mutlifunctional theme. Depending on the event, the trusses that the Atria 10 cylinders are mounted on, can be moved and the fixture can also be directed at an angle. The fixture is controlled by DMX for maximum controls.
