PROJECT DETAILS
This cancer center was designed with a novel interior approach, using an open floor plan, meant to facilitate patient’s navigation and to minimize the clinical feeling often resulting from maze-like treatment centers. The 38 exam rooms and 22 private bays found on the second floor are all centered around a kitchen which mimics a coffee shop, providing for a more relaxed patient experience. The bays overlook a healing garden and the ample natural light is supplemented by Amica 2, which provides soft illumination with an evenly illuminated diffuser and facilitates maintenance with below-ceiling access. Organic-looking groupings of Facetta enhance waiting areas.
